Anna: Hi! My name is Anna. What’s your name?

  • name – the word people call you
    Example: My name is John.
  • nice to meet you – polite phrase when meeting someone for the first time
    Example: Nice to meet you, Sarah!
  • from – shows your country or city
    Example: I’m from Brazil.
  • student – a person who studies at school or university
    Example: She is a student at college.
  • too – means "also"
    Example: I like coffee too.

📚 Grammar Tips

  • To be (am / is / are)
    Used to describe who someone is or where they are from.
    Examples: I am Anna. He is Tom. You are a student.
  • Question form – swap the subject and verb:
    Are you a student? / What is your name?
  • Short answers:
    Yes, I am. / No, I’m not.
