Characters: Anna and Tom

Anna: Hi Tom! How are you today?

Tom: I'm good, thanks. The weather is really nice today.

Anna: Yes, it’s sunny and warm. I love days like this.

Tom: Me too. Yesterday was so cloudy and cold.

Anna: I know! I stayed inside all day.

Tom: Do you think it will rain tomorrow?

Anna: I don’t think so. The forecast says it will be clear all week.

Tom: That’s great! Let’s go for a walk this afternoon.

Anna: Perfect idea!


Important Vocabulary

  • Weather – The condition of the air outside. Example: The weather is hot today.
  • Sunny – When the sun is shining. Example: It is sunny in the morning.
  • Cloudy – When the sky is full of clouds. Example: It looks cloudy this afternoon.
  • Cold – When the temperature is low. Example: It is very cold in winter.
  • Rain – Water falling from the sky. Example: It will rain tomorrow.
  • Forecast – A report about the future weather. Example: The forecast says it will snow.
  • Clear – When the sky has no clouds. Example: The sky is clear today.

Grammar Notes

  • Present Simple Tense – Used to describe facts and regular actions.
    Example: It is sunny. / I stay inside on cold days.
  • Will for Future – Used to talk about future events.
    Example: It will rain tomorrow. / We will go for a walk.
  • Yes/No Questions – Used to ask about the weather.
